Be sure you’ve cited all of your sources, including pictures. You should have a link to the original source for everything you include.
Also, make sure you have 15 outside sources, in addition to your books. What you’ve said about children in war is good so far, but you’ve focused mainly on your books. What you did include from your book needs to be explicitly connected to your book.
Spring for some variety. Move beyond pictures. Think song lyrics, videos, etc. See the front page of the wiki for more ideas.
One more thing: how can you tie all of this together? Think introduction.

Survival and death is every where. Presant future and past. Like shown here in the revolutionary war the British soldiers fighting the colonists. It's like a battle Ishmael Beah is going throught. There trying to fight for freedom and surving.
Survival- The state of surving; remaing alive
Death- The event of dying or departure of life

"He was behind us aiming his gun at our heads and said any of you moves I will kill you" -A Long Way Gone.
This quote shows survival and death because ishmeal Beah has been captured and held hostiage. He has been fighting to stay alive so is the solider. But out there is life and death. You have to do what you can to survive.

In the book A Long Way Gone is all about survival and death. The main character in the book is Ishmael Beah and he loses his family and his friends and is on his own. he has to survive on his own. He meets death in the face a couple times in his story.

In this book, it's all about the survival. Daisy moves to England with her cousins when war sets out. Without her Aunt there, her and her cousins have to defend for themselves until their house gets taken over to be used for barracks. Daisy and her little cousin Piper move into another home that gets taken over too, leaving them running back to their house, trying to survive in the woods with little to nothing. Eating anything healthy little Piper finds, they don't think they have enough to make it back to the house.

"Since there wasn't much to talk about except the war, I kept asking them all questions about camping and surviving in The Wild and finding food and all those kinds of things and I doubt they gave a whole lot of thought as to why I was so curious about survival skills since most of them loved to talk about the subject at length anyways." pg. 117

Marine Sniper by Charles Henderson

"Hathcock laid his cross hairs on one prone NVA soldier after another and squeezed the trigger, killing a man each time. Burke shifted his fire to the NVA company's main body, which now appeared to be charging over the dike. "They're coming at us!" He shouted at Hathcock." -pg. 43

^^ This is a great example of how soldiers will do anything in order to survive. Even if it means having to jump over a dike and charge directly at the enemy who's shooting at them.

Survival and death is everywhere. We are lucky in America that we as civilians don't have to fight survival and death in war. But many other places do. The children and adults are fighting for survival both physical and mental in this picture. You can see the pain their going through on their faces.

The Holocaust

external image galler_arbeitsbuch+large.jpg
During the Holocaust, people were desperate to get out of the horrible conditions they were put in, so they would use fake identities to get over the border. Katarzyna Czuchowska was the fictitious identity assumed by Eva Galler to hide her Jewish background.

This picture shows the bodies that were probably selected because they were too weak to meet the requirements. In the summer of 1994, the crematoriums weren't working, so they would just burn the bodies, and bury them in ditches.

Holocaust Museum
Located in Washington, DC this museum is everything about the Holocaust. What happened, who survived, who didn't survived. Artifacts, pictures, and more.

The Patriot- The patiot is a movie about a family fighting against the English. This family struggles to stay alive long enough for the war to end and to see freedom. They are willing to fight and die for there freedom.

We we're soldiers- We we're soldiers is the story of the first major battle of the American phase of the Vietnam War and the soldiers on both sides that fought it. This movie has many deaths in it and shows many of the horrible aspects of war.

The Alamo- The Alamo is Based on the 1836 standoff between a group of Texan and Tejano men, led by Davy Crockett and Jim Bowie, and Mexican dictator Santa Anna's forces at the Alamo in San Antonio, Texas. This movie is all about how the texans are simply trying to survive while help is on it's way. Although they all die before anyone could come assist them they put up an extremely good fight.

This image mocks the government and how they go to war over unnecessary reasons and because of this many Americans did.

The Twin Towers http://www.poetryamerica.com/read_poems.asp?id=211642

Before the attack when they stood as two, each edifice stretched high soaring into the blue.

Upon the assault of each tower in the early morning hour, the lives of many came to a halt by terrorist fault.

In the din, as each collapsed to the ground, prayers were heard for loved ones to be found, and every American hero that perished at Ground Zero.

The calamity of crumbled metal and twisted steel made it all so terribly real.

Our flag waved endlessly amongst the pile as the sight and smell of the inferno reeked, mile upon mile.

By the pledge, the city will carry on, volunteers worked above and beyond.

With all hope to find a survivor in each passing hour, digging continued with sweat and pride by every creed, color and hide.

The evil deed done by Osama Bin Laden, would not get our pardon.

He tried to crush our spirit and make us weak. Instead we stand united unwilling to break our peak.

We will flourish anew as a blooming flower and in the end remain in supreme power.

This poem talks about how many people have died during the attack on the twin towers, and how Osama Bin Laden planned to tear the U.S. apart, but they made it very clear that no matter how many people were killed, we still stand united, and stronger than ever.

"Oh, war, I despise
Cause it means destruction of innocent lives
War means tear to thousands of mothers eyes
When their sons go off to fight and lose their lives

I said
War, huh good God y'all
What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing, just say it again
War whoa Lord
What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing, listen to me
War, it ain't nothin' but a heartbreaker
War, friend only to the undertaker"

By- Edwin Starr

lyrics from- http://www.metrolyrics.com/war-lyrics-edwin-starr.html

This song is a great example of an artist expressing his opinion on war and survival. He clearly doesn't believe war is good and many innocent lives could be saved if war was stopped.
